Prior to her career as a colorist and stylist, Jenny attended LIM College in New YorkĬity graduating with a BBA focusing in Fashion and Art. This has made Salon Topaz an educated focused workplace where stylists continue to grow from within and can continue its award-winning reputation. Her main focus is on training where she remains committed to building a team of like-minded talented professionals. Today, Lisa no longer works behind the chair. Lisa has been voted “Best of Westchester Hair Stylist” by Westchester Magazine and her hair salon has been voted “Best Eco-Friendly Hair Salon”. Years ahead of the curve, she partnered with sustainability company Green Circle, which is now becoming an industry standard. Lisa created a mission to only partner with companies that use high-quality plant-based ingredients that leave out toxic chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, and formaldehyde. She believes in nourishing our bodies with conscious ingredients starting from the inside. As a salon owner, Lisa has cultivated a culture where beauty is more than skin-deep.
In 2006, Lisa opened Salon Topaz where she has trained and built a talented team of hairstylists. She was a featured artist at RAW where she showcased her collection of hairstyles in Brooklyn, NY. Lisa has worked at New York Fashion Week with various designers. As an educator, she would then bring her knowledge to fellow hairstylists and train them in these techniques. Lisa later became a network educator with Bumble and Bumble where she attended classes to perfect her razor cutting skills. This is where she honed her skills in geometric shaping and precision haircutting. Lisa had a passion to learn everything the industry had to offer and traveled to London to study at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. At Fekkai, she learned the soft and beautifully blended French technique of hairdressing. Here, she had the opportunity to train with prestigious hair artists including celebrity stylist Frederic Fekkai. With over twenty years of experience, Lisa began her career in NYC at the distinguished Fekkai. Lisa is the founder and creative director of award-winning eco-friendly Salon Topaz.
